About Us — Our Story

A Veteran-Founded, Social Worker-Made Brand

Social Worker Shirts started with a simple problem: I couldn't find a shirt that felt like me.

I retired from the Army after more than 20 years of service. Looking for what came next, I went back to school to study social work — earning both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the field. Somewhere between classes, fieldwork, and volunteering, I kept running into the same issue. I wanted something comfortable to wear to informal functions and dress-down days, something that reflected the profession I was building a new career in. But as a guy, most of the "social worker" designs I found just didn't have the look I was after.

So I bought a heat press and a vinyl cutter, started designing my own shirts, and Social Worker Shirts was born.

What began as a personal project turned into something I wanted to share with other social workers — people who show up for their communities every single day and deserve apparel that's actually made with them in mind: comfortable, well-made, and designed by someone who's living the work, not just marketing to it.

I hold my BSW and MSW, and I'm continuing to focus on earning my licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), building this brand alongside that path. Every design starts from the same place — where passion meets fashion.

Thank you for supporting a small, veteran-founded business built by and for the social work community. It means more than you know.
